- 1. $50 Woolworths Gift Card Offer: This offer is open to students who do not already hold a Future Saver Account and use the offer code to open a new Future Saver Account linked to an Everyday account between 8/3/23 and 31/5/23, and deposit $1,000 and make at least 5 direct debit transactions, ATM withdrawals, BPAY payments or settled debit card purchases (not pending) from your linked Everyday Account in the first month after account opening. The $50 Visa Gift card will be sent to you within 60-90 days after account opening if the criteria is met. The account must stay open during this period to be eligible for the offer. Offer is limited to one eligible Future Saver Account and is not available with any other offer. This offer can be amended and/or withdrawn by BOQ at any time without notice. Offer current as at 6 March 2023.
- 2. A Bonus Interest variable rate will only be paid if Bonus Criteria are met in the previous month. Bonus Criteria will be met where both the following conditions are met:
- - a minimum of $1,000 is credited electronically to the linked Everyday Account in the prior calendar month. This excludes cash and cheque deposits and amounts transferred from another one of your BOQ Accounts including any Account you may be linked to as an Authorised User or joint Account holder;
- AND
- - at least 5 direct debit transactions, ATM withdrawals, BPAY payments or purchases of goods or services from a Merchant are made in the prior calendar month by using your BOQ Visa Debit Card associated with your linked Everyday Account. This does not include cheques written or deposited, branch cash withdrawals, transfers or payments to any BOQ account or to a non-BOQ account via Internet Banking, in branch or at ATMs, transfer of funds to accounts held at an overseas bank, pending Visa Debit Card transactions and BOQ Credit Card transactions.
- Transactions that are not settled (are pending) do not count towards the Bonus Criteria. If a transaction is made but settles in the following calendar month then the transaction will be counted in the following calendar month.
- The variable Base Rate applies to balances over $250,000. The variable Base Rate always applies in the first month after opening an account. In the first month, Bonus Criteria on the transaction account is measured from the time the Future Saver Account is opened, not the full calendar month even if the transaction account was already existing. Interest is calculated on a stepped basis and paid monthly on the first day of the following month. If Bonus Criteria conditions are not met the variable Base Rate only will apply.
- 3. Round Ups are transfers that you can choose to activate on your Everyday Account(s). When you enable this feature on your Everyday Account, funds are transferred to your nominated savings account each time you make a card transaction. The amount of the transfer will be up to the nearest $1 of the amount that the transaction takes place. Round Up transactions will not take place if your account would be overdrawn by making the transaction. Each Round Up transfer will be done when a transaction is processed as pending on your account. As some transactions may occur offline, the Round Up transfer will only take place when the transaction information is received. Pending transactions could also potentially not be debited by the merchant; in that case the round-up will not be reversed. You can disable the Round Up feature through the myBOQ app at any time
- # Under the Australian Government’s Financial Claims Scheme (FCS), certain deposits are protected up to a limit of $250,000 for each account holder at BOQ. The FCS limit of $250,000 applies to the total sum of all BOQ bank accounts, including accounts you hold with BOQ Branches, ME Bank, Virgin Money Australia and BOQ Specialist.
